Corinthian Continues Strong Organic Growth With Opening of New Campus In Jacksonville, Florida Press Release

SANTA ANA, Calif., March 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Continuing its strong record of organic growth, Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (Nasdaq: COCO - News) today announced the opening of a new Florida Metropolitan University (FMU) campus near Jacksonville, Florida. The school marks the 23rd new branch campus opened by Corinthian since the company's initial public offering in 1999.

The new branch is Corinthian's second FMU campus in the Jacksonville metropolitan area and its tenth FMU campus in Florida. Encompassing approximately 28,000 square feet at 805 Wells Road in Orange Park, a suburban community of Jacksonville, the new FMU-Jacksonville will offer accredited Associate in Science degrees in Business Administration, Criminal Justice and Medical Assisting; a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice; and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Corinthian expects to offer additional programs at the campus in the future, and the university is expected to have a student population of 400 within two years.
