We invite you to explore our Web Site, contribute where you can, and join our dynamic and growing force in securing the future of women in federal law enforcement.
VISION STATEMENT That women in law enforcement can fulfill their professional potential and share their unique heroic attributes with each other in greater service to the law enforcement profession and the communities we serve.
MISSION STATEMENT WIFLE is an organization of women and men who work together to foster awareness of the value that women bring to law enforcement. We celebrate our historic accomplishments and strive for new achievements by recognizing and using the skills, creativity, and leadership abilities that women in law enforcement have demonstrated. Through cooperation and communication, we aim to improve gender equity in law enforcement by encouraging women to enter and excel in their chosen careers.
HISTORY WIFLE is an outgrowth of an interagency committee formed by the Department of the Treasury and the Department of Justice in 1982. In June 1999, WIFLE, Inc. was established.
PURPOSE To bring together all our resources to achieve gender equity throughout the law enforcement profession resulting in better service to the public.
GOALS To recruit, retain, and promote women in the law enforcement profession. To enhance the image of law enforcement in the communities we serve. To promote the value of collaborative and cooperative leadership styles.
