
Criminal Justice Careers Article -Hamilton College, Mason City to Sponsor Public Safety Fair on September 11
The event will take place at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Mason City from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the east end of the parking lot. Members of the Iowa National Guard Color Guard will open the event, and Iowa State Representative Bill Schickel will give remarks. Attendees will also have the opportunity to sign a large banner that will be sent to Iraq to support U.S. troops.
"This event enables us to educate the community about important safety resources that can help prevent accidents and save lives," said Dave Fritz, executive director of Hamilton College, Mason City Campus. "By drawing from the resources of our strong academic and extracurricular programs, we hope to make this event an annual tradition."

The Hamilton College Computer Club will also be present to provide information on internet safety. In addition, students from Hamilton College's medical assisting program will be on hand to provide information on health issues.
The Hamilton College Criminal Justice Club will be providing food and refreshments from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations to the club are suggested to help offset the cost of preparing for the event.
