The new campus is needed because of the success of current programs and growth of the student population. The project deepens Westwood's roots in the Fort Worth community and strengthens the local economy. ââ¬ÅThe new facility will provide our students with a great learning environment, said Kelly Coates, executive director of Westwood College-Fort Worth. The building has been designed to promote our hands-on method of learning and give both students and staff easy access to the amenities they need to succeed.
New Campus Kick-off Celebration
Community VIPs, business leaders and Westwood students and executives will gather to celebrate Westwood's new campus from 1:30 p.m. 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004. Among the dignitaries in attendance will be former Dallas Cowboy and current CEO of the Staubach Company, Roger Staubach. The Staubach Company partnered with Westwood to help with site selection and lease negotiations for the new facility. Staubach, who has a degree in engineering, strongly supports institutions that help build careers and the economy. He will be one of the featured speakers at the event.
Growth Dictates Expansion
Westwood has seen a lot of growth in many areas, including our design and computer networking programs, said Coates. We continually hear from employers of our graduates that Westwood programs produce high-quality employees, often ready to jump into their field of choice right after school.
The new facility has been designed to meet specific hands-on requirements for the various programs Westwood offers, including 12 computer labs, a student art gallery, two state-of-the-industry medical assisting labs, an expanded library and improved student study and meeting areas.
Nationwide, Westwood is focused on helping graduates find career opportunities in their chosen fields, and has a very high success rate. For Fort Worth, this means more students have the chance to improve their career and economic futures. The school's focus on creating hands-on-trained, career-focused employees is an asset to the Fort Worth businesses and economy.
The new Westwood Campus is centrally located for easy access to students. It will be located in Mercantile Tech Center I at 4220 North Freeway in Fort Worth, directly off I-35 West at Meacham Boulevard. The new campus will replace the existing campus on Airport Freeway.

Founded in 1953, Westwood College is a cross-state system of privately operated colleges that focus on high-quality career education.
