In most states and large municipalities police jobs are governed by civil service regulations. To qualify for these jobs one must be a U.S. Citizen and at least 20 years of age. These jobs require rigorous physical activity, thus in order to obtain police jobs you will need to pass physical fitness tests. Examinations for these careers involve several physical tests including hearing, eyesight along with strength and endurance.
