Corinthian Colleges Opens New NIT Campus in Detroit, Michigan Press Release

SANTA ANA, Calif., Dec. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (Nasdaq: COCO - News) today announced the opening of a National Institute of Technology (NIT) branch campus in Detroit, Michigan. The new campus is located at 300 River Place and is Corinthian's third NIT campus in the greater Detroit metropolitan area.

The new NIT Detroit campus will offer diploma programs in allied health. Medical assisting will be the initial program offering. The college intends to introduce additional programs at a later date. The campus is expected to have a student population of approximately 400 within two years.

NIT Detroit expands Corinthian's presence in Michigan to five campuses. Other NIT Detroit area campuses include Dearborn and Southfield, Michigan. Corinthian also operates Olympia Career Training Institutes in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Corinthian has announced plans to open between six and eight new branch campuses in fiscal 2004. NIT Detroit is the third campus opened in fiscal 2004.
